Technically, they met at her house - though neither of them realised it at the time. He was there to interview her dad for a school project, and they exchanged the briefest of hello's. No sparks, no rom-com soundtrack.... just a polite nod and a quick howzit.
Fast Forward a while.... They matched on Tinder (as all modern love stories do). Both had a "wait... you look familiar" moment. Then came his unforgettable line: "I've been to your house." Smooth, right? Luckily, she found his wit charming - and the conversation didn't stop there.
From shared playlists to shared values, their connection kept growing. Over the past eight years, they've built a bond full of laughter, understanding, and the kind of love that only gets stronger with time.
Now they're getting married - and still quoting that first message like it was yesterday.

Ben had been sneakily planning a dreamy getaway while Carla was still dropping not-so-subtle hints. He handed her flight tickets folded into paper planes (a throwback to their study days), and off they went to Cape Town.
Driving through Rooi-Els, she casually pointed to a secluded house on the hill and said, "wow, I'd love to stay there" Ben said nothing... and then pulled straight into the driveway. Classic.
By the last day, she'd given up on any big surprises - especially when Ben claimed he had a "sore stomach" (spoiler: it was the nerves). He suggested they take some champagne and watch the sunset from a rock up on the hill. What she didn't know was that behind that rock was a full-on proposal picnic, complete with a hidden ring (in the ice bucket, obviously) and two friends secretly setting everything up while a photographer waited in the bushes.
Safe to say, she was speechless - and he was just glad he didn't drop the ring.
